Nudie Selvage Lab
Nudie selvage lab is our range of modern collector’s items, inspired by vintage and real worn in jeans. The jeans have their own personal laundry team, are made in the sample lab and will never go into the normal production line. None of these garments will look exactly the same, and the time to make them will not follow the normal procedure.
All of these unique items are made out of selvage denim. Each season we will increase the collection with new exciting selvage fabrics and washes and make this a denim gallery. The trims are made exclusively for these items and include pure silver trims, narrow belt loops, also selvage lining on the coin pockets. The pocketing fabrics are a thicker quality and the leather patch is embossed. Each garment will be packed in a canvas bag marked with Lab #1-11 and items for the sales collection will be packed in big canvas sacks.
The idea is to present this as our exclusive knowledge of denim lab items. The products are expensive and our goal is not to sell full size ranges to our retailers. We would prefer it if they buy a few of each and focus on the dry version to inspire people to make their own personal lab.
New items in the Selvage LAB gallery are made out of denim fabrics from the American Cone Mill, who produce old denim selvage constructions used during the Second World War in a special indigo dye. That’s why this fabric has a “poor” greyish blue indigo cast. We have used selvage organic denim with natural indigo plant dying.
